In the late 2000s, Frenchman Sylvain Pean stayed in Mexico. He discovers the enchanting beauty of a sacred stone in local culture: the Obsidian. The traveller also meets Paulina Méndez, his future wife. From this meeting there was an ambitious project. Together, they decide to embark on the export of Obsidian to France.

After travelling through the different mines of the country and working with many Mexican craftsmen, Sylvain and Paulina create their own workshop for the manufacture of obsidian objects. Success is on the date. The creations sold in the shops of their French customers at the outset seduce lovers of semi-precious stones and all people aware of the beneficial influence of minerals on the body and human mind.

In 2016, the couple moved to Saint-Malo, in Sylvain’s native Brittany. The supplier company of Pierres will then gradually move to a higher level of its development, diversifying its offer and positioning itself on the European market.

From Latin America to the Far East

The journeys are going on and contact catches around the world are increasing. Small workshops in South America (Brazil, Peru), Asia (India, Thailand, Hong Kong), Africa (Morocco, Madagascar) and Eastern Europe (Lithuania) become privileged partners for the supply of raw stones, cut or assembled in jewellery.
